Delete Your Account
Last updated: May 6, 2026
You can delete your DirtMeet account and the data tied to it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open DirtMeet on your phone.
- Sign in if you are signed out.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom right.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete in the alert that appears.
The deletion runs immediately and your account is removed from our servers within minutes.
2. Delete by email request
If you cannot access the app or your account, email us from the address tied to your account:
support@dirtmeet.com
Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 7 days.
3. What we delete
The following are removed permanently from our servers:
- Your profile (name, bio, skill level, bike info, riding style, profile photo, avatar)
- Your email address and authentication record
- Rides you created and their cover photos
- Your ride memberships, comments in ride chats, check-ins, ratings, and trail reports
- Town Square posts, group chat messages, and organization chat messages you sent
- Ride beacons and area follows
- Ride logs and ride-log photos
- Push notification tokens for your devices
- Block and report records you created
- Notification preferences and other settings
4. What we keep (and why)
- Aggregated, anonymous metrics — we keep counts of total rides, signups, and similar non-identifying numbers for product analytics. These cannot be linked back to you.
- Subscription receipt records — if you ever subscribed to DirtMeet+, the App Store / Play Store transaction ID is retained for the time required by Apple, Google, and US tax law. This contains no personal information beyond the original transaction.
- Crash logs — anonymous crash reports tied to your former user ID are retained for 90 days for engineering use, then purged.
5. Subscriptions
Important: Deleting your DirtMeet account does not automatically cancel a DirtMeet+ subscription. To stop billing, cancel through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → DirtMeet → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DirtMeet → Cancel.
Cancel the subscription before deleting your account so you do not get billed for a period after deletion.
6. Retention period
Once submitted, in-app deletion completes immediately. Email-requested deletions complete within 7 days. The aggregated and legally retained items listed in section 4 are kept only as long as required, then permanently purged.
7. Questions
If anything here is unclear, email support@dirtmeet.com and we will respond within 2 business days.
